Vectra Engineering a.s. is another step towards strengthening Vectra Group’s presence and position in the engineering and manufacturing industry worldwide.

Taking forward the success story of Vectra Skid Steer Loader HEMAN – 175 in India, the company decided to start manufacturing these machines in Europe to cater to the western market.

Vectra Engineering a.s. is setting up a manufacturing facility for SSL in Koprivnice, Czech Republic. The project is ambitious and will start with HEMAN -175, a 750 kg SAE capacity SSL.

The location, Koprivnice in Czech Republic was an ideal choice for the facilities as it can offer and strategic location for logistics in Europe and also, Vectra Group has long association and presence in Czech and Slovak area with other existing businesses and investments.

The corporate office of Vectra Engineering a.s. is being developed in Hukvaldy.
The company plans to extend the range further by adding tracked machines and 900 kg and 1100 kg SAE capacity SSLs in near future.

An advanced design centre is also planned in the facility.

Heman – 175, the first product to be rolled out by Vectra Engineering a.s., is known for its power and speed. It is powered by the latest Cummins B 3.3 engine, available both in NA and TC versions. The machine has higher specifications than any other competing models, and is also rugged and reliable. It has proven itself in the extensive and long trials of the Indian Army, where none of the other competing models could survive the tough requirements.

The company has started setting up an assembly line in Pribor, which will be utilized till the factory construction is complete in Koprivnice. The first SSL Heman -175 will be rolling out in September 2008 from Pribor. The company has plans of producing 500 units in 2009 and take it further up to 2000 units by the year 2011.
