Vectra is the largest shareholder of the consortium Tatra Holding s.r.o. that owns Tatra a.s. With a tradition of more than hundred and fifty years, TATRA Corporation in Czech Republic has amongst the oldest truck factories in the world. The heavy off-road trucks and vehicles are exported to markets in India, Russia, China, Europe and to several other countries worldwide.

Vehicles bearing the TATRA brand are characterized by their exceptional chassis design, high passing ability through the most difficult terrains, as well as high reliability, which makes them ideal for operation in the hardest terrain and climatic conditions. The trucks are made in four commercial series, including the TERRNo1 and JAMAL civilian vehicles, and the ARMAX and FORCE military vehicles. Besides truck manufacturing, Tatra a.s. completely owned subsidiaries, Taforge (forgings), Tafonco (castings) and Tawesco (Press & Tooling shop), cater to its own needs as well as supplying to leading European automotive OEM's. Taforge and Tafonco are one of the largest automotive forging and casting companies in Central Europe. Tatra a.s. and its subsidiaries currently employ more than 3,000 people.

Also the outstanding results in the automobile competitions demonstrate the excellent driving capabilities of Tatra vehicles. The Paris Dakar rally in which Tatra has been a consistent winner is a testament to the excellent driving capabilities of Tatra vehicles in the most extreme conditions.
