The Skid Steer Loader is an engineering marvel in the earth moving equipment industry with its unique design that makes it a very compact and agile machine. Vectra Advanced Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (VAEPL) took up the challenge to manufacture the machine locally, in India. VAEPL has successfully indigenized majority of the attachments that are normally imported for the machine to achieve cost reduction, and to reduce dependency on imports.

Due to this successful local design the Patent Office of Controller General of Patents and Designs in India has issued a Certificate of Registration on 3rd May 2011, registering the industrial design of Skid Steer Loader for the brand name, VAEPL in India

VAEPL designed and developed a variant of Skid Steer Loader as per the requirement of Vehicle Research and Development Establishment, Ministry of Defence in India. The machine has been successfully delivered. As a result, a new fabrication shop, in Greater Noida, with state of the art machines is in the process of being set up to take on industrialization challenges.
