As part of the Hlboka 7 complex development, Vectra Group has acquired the franchise rights to open and operate a Benihana restaurant, the first of its kind in Slovakia.
To compete with the ever growing local restaurant industry, Vectra Group was looking into a new different culinary approach not seen yet in Slovakia - the marriage of authentic Japanese cuisine combined with entertainment performed by Teppanyaki chefs, who are the entertainers of the culinary world, the magicians, comedians, the jugglers of salt and pepper shakers, all in a spectacular dining performance with the meal being expertly prepared and cooked to perfection on a steel grill, right before the eyes of the guests.
With this in mind, Benihana has been approached, the leading chain of Japanese restaurants operating a total of 96 restaurants and 18 franchised teppanyaki restaurants around the globe. The founder, Rocky Aoki, opened the first Benihana restaurant in New York in 1964 and blending exotic dishes with a dazzling chefs performance had proven to be the recipe for success.
Recommended by Benihana, the Vectra group has appointed UK based designers Buchanan Associates in corporation with local architects to spearhead the construction and design of this new restaurant, setting a milestone in Slovakia.
Benihana Bratislava is scheduled to open in December 2011 featuring ten teppanyaki tables with a total seating capacity for 80 people, providing an ideal place for the whole family and friends, corporate and business lunches. A traditional teppanyaki meal consist of a Japanese miso soup, Benihana salad with fresh ginger dressing, prawn appetizer, fried rice followed by a choice of succulent seafood, tender chicken or juicy steaks served with garden fresh vegetables grilled to delicious perfection.
A separate Sushi bar provides a rare opportunity for Japanese food lovers who just can't get enough of fresh sushi and tongue biting wasabi.
Hailing from the UK, the head chef of Benihana Bratislava, Khalil Chrif Tribak says: ''It doesn't feel like I am at work everyday, it is more like having friends around me for dinner and entertaining them". |
