This
superstructure is designed to transport and
if required distribute drinking water on
public roads or in heavy / difficult terrain
off the roads. The total payload carried on
a Tatra T815 6x6 chassis is 10,000 litres of
water.
The
truck tank is made of anti corrosive steel
sheet and is reinforced by rings and
partition walls preventing dynamic impacts
of the fluid in transport. The tank is
fitted with two manholes with hinged covers
enabling entry into tanks for repair,
painting and repairs if necessary. The tank
also has a level indicating mechanism.
The
pump unit is mechanically driven and can
deliver 400 litres / min at 6 bar max
pressure and can be used for: -

Tank filling using pump.
- Tank discharge using the pump.
- Tank discharge by gravity.
- Tank filling from top manhole.
- Repumping from external source to
external tank.
